INTEREST GROUPS
Our club offers seven interest groups, allowing members to meet people of like interests.
ART
Purpose
​
The Art Interest Group’s purpose is to create and nurture an interest in
art and its contributions to a quality life within our community.
Objectives
​
• To enhance our interest in art of every form.
• To encourage budding artists by introducing them and their art to our
members at our programs.
• To avail ourselves of art exhibits, shows, and any other activities
related to art.
• To support our Club in every activity and every Club activity.

DRAMA
Purpose
​
The Drama Interest Group’s purpose is to stimulate and promote a
keener interest in the theater and the dramatic arts.
Objectives
​
• To prepare dramatic performances for the community.
• To encourage youth involvement in the theater.
• To assist other community groups in dramatic arts.
ECONOMIC
Purpose
​
The Economic Interest Group’s purpose is to promote consumer
education and increase understanding of basic economic concepts and
emerging economic issues that impact our lives.
Objectives
​
• To study selected economic topics of special interest.
• To support community economic projects which involve young
people, families and aging adults.
• To expose our membership to economic related resources, which are
available within our community.

INTERNATIONAL
RELATIONS
Purpose
​
The International Relations Interest Group’s purpose is to replace
prejudice with truth, distortion with balance and suspicion with
understanding.
Objectives
​
To increase our knowledge of other countries through contact with
persons of other nationalities locally, learning about their customs and
promoting mutual cultural exchanges.

MUSIC
Purpose
​
The Music Interest Group’s purpose is to stimulate a greater interest and
appreciation for music throughout the community.
Objectives
​
• To provide music for other groups.
• To discover new youth talent within our community.
• To broaden our cultural interest by participating and attending various
musical programs.

SOCIAL &
CIVIC AFFAIRS
Purpose
​
The Social and Civic Affairs Interest Group’s purpose is two-fold. First,
it is to give interpretation regarding social welfare needs of our
membership and community. Second, our purpose is to stress the
importance of our members having knowledge of and being an integral
part of our government; supporting community-wide voter education,
voter registration, and “Get-Out-The-Vote” projects.
Objectives
​
• To educate our members and the public on the roles of public agencies
in social welfare.
• To find unmet social welfare needs and to assist in alleviating those
needs.
• To assure that every member of the Delver Woman’s Club maintains a
qualified voter status and exercises this right in all elections and that
we encourage all citizens to do likewise.
• To be educated and through presentations, inform others of current
events.
YOUTH CONSERVATION
Purpose
​
To strengthen the family by providing varied assistance that promotes and
supports youth development.
Objectives
​
• To instill strong educational goals.
• To promote activities for at-risk youth that emphasizes ethical, moral
and spiritual values.
• To reinforce a strong concept of self-esteem.
• To provide varied assistance and encourage self-help.
• To strengthen the parent-child relationship.
